SWELL friends

So last week I talked a little about how excited I am about my punch-killing team leader (Mr. Jin), and this week I realized why I just adore him so much.  It’s because he reminds me of my sweet little brother!  He is so enthusiastic and gets excited about the littlest things.  In our daily toolbox talk each member of the team talks about what they have planned for the day, and when someone mentions anything that may give him the opportunity to get work done he will silently do a little “YESSSS” to himself....

Things have been so busy this week, I haven't been getting to my room to go to bed until around 10ish each night.  BUT I do have to admit that is partially because I spend at least an hour or so after dinner chitchatting with different people.  It's a very unique working environment out here because after "work hours" most of us are still in the office because there is nowhere else to go.  When I first came out here, I did feel like the "new" person because most of the folks here were a part of the fabrication team in Korea, so they were a pretty tight-knit group.  Luckily, for the most part, everyone is super nice and even though I've only known most everyone for about 6 months we've all gotten pretty close - probably because 3 of those 6 months we've been together 24/7.
In other news, we have had some pretty high sea swells, meaning this boat is a-rockin'.  The way my desk is set in the office, the boat is moving up and down right to left, so my chair will roll to the left and then roll to the right.  The other two desks in my office are faced perpendicular to mine, so their drawers will roll open and roll closed.  None of which helps with my occasional vertigo, BUT my lifetime stock of benadryl is taking care of that :)
