We had a busy week this week with vessel moves, meaning our bridge connection to the platform was removed a few times. It's always super annoying and more of a hassle than anything else when this happens because we have to take a small surfer boat over to the platform to get anything done. PLUS, the internet is usually even worse than normal. Not to mention the workforce has much longer days - starting earlier and getting back later, so everyone is just generally a bit more grumpy. That said, one of the guys out here sure did get a neat picture....
I'm well past the halfway point, and the days just keep flying by! On Tuesday I'll be at 28 days, so over the next week I'll start to see people that were here when I got here, have been off for a month, and are coming back to work - THAT is weird. Then they will say "...wait, have you been home" and I'll have the same conversation about 12 times that I'm working a long rotation because my back-to-back doesn't have a visa and yaddaa yadda yadda. The good news is that the more people I see come and go, the closer I get to home :)
